Your Kundalini Yoga journey: Weeks 1 & 2

Begin your Kundalini Yoga journey with weeks 1 & 2. Get a solid foundation with basic techniques, kriyas, and meditation practices. Perfect for beginners ready to explore!

What you'll discover in Weeks 1 & 2

These first two weeks of the course are designed to provide you with the foundational elements for a fulfilling Kundalini Yoga practice. You'll be introduced to essential breathing techniques, warm-up exercises, mantras, kriyas, and a simple approach to meditation.

Breathing techniques

Master the Basic Breath Kriya and the Pranayam Energiser Kriya, excellent introductory breathing techniques that can be practiced independently or before a Kundalini Yoga Kriya.

Warm-up exercises

Learn Surya Namaskara (Sun Salutation), an excellent warm-up to prepare your body for a Kundalini Yoga Kriya.

Mantras & tuning in

Discover the practice of Tuning In by chanting the Adi Mantra (connecting with your inner teacher) and the Mangala Charan Mantra (invoking protection and wisdom).

Weeks 1 & 2 are designed for all beginners seeking a solid foundation in Kundalini Yoga. These practices will pave the way for deeper exploration and understanding. If you have any concerns, feel free to email me. Remember to modify your practice to suit your needs and comfort levels. This is a journey of self-discovery, not competition.

What to expect after Week 2

By the end of Week 2, you should feel confident in performing a couple of breathing techniques and sun salutations. You might be feeling more comfortable chanting while Tuning In, and you will have experienced two beautiful kriyas. You will also be finding your way with meditation.

Remember to be kind to yourself as learning something new takes time and patience.

Embark on your journey

Weeks 1 and 2 offer a comprehensive introduction to Kundalini Yoga. It is recommended that you begin your practise with Tuning In, using the Adi Mantra and the Heart Protection Mantra, then breathwork, then a warm up, followed by  the kriya and lastly a meditation for a comprehensive practice.
